As the name gives away, the hotel is a hidden gem in the very heart of Soho. Surrounded by the best of restaurants and theatres in London. And walking distance to the best shopping streets like Regent, New and Old Bond street and the Covent Garden.

When entering the hotel and reception area, you are met by an enormous black cat sculpture welcoming you to another colourful Firmdale hotel world.

The hotel has 91 bedrooms, suites and apartments. Be it strips, zigzag or stars, anything is allowed here ehen it comes to the inetrior design of the hotel. This relaxed creativity, call it the fresh modern English Style, is a trademark of the designer Kit Kemp and the Firmdale Hotels.

All the rooms have floor to ceiling warehouse styled windows. and equipped with gadget goodies such as iPod docking stations.

By the lifts, there is a large lounge and an honesty bar, where you can relax, maybe with a complimentary copy of the latest edition of Conde Naste Traveller.

The bar and Refuel restaurant are located in one large room, separated by a glass shelf fugll of vintage oil cans, model cars and other old and newer stuff.

The black frames are found everywhere in the hotel, be it a glass door or a window. The typical English tea is available all day in the lounge or in the restaurant.

The restaurant serves modern and continental cuisine with seasonal and organic ingredients. Start the evening by the bar with a cocktail and some tapas. The cocktails are great, so it is likely that you also end the evening here.

Soho Hotel is at the high end of the London price level, so a stay here does not leave your wallet in good shape, but with its location, fantastic style and nice staff, it is well worth it.
