SEA CONTAINERS

SOUTH BANK

Sea Containers is the Tom Dixon designed restaurant at the Mondrian Hotel in London. It is located along the Thames, in the Sea Containers building next to the Oxo Tower.

The tables are placed around a huge stainless steel covered bar, with a yellow submarine hanging from the ceiling. Some of the tables have large yellow circular sofas and purple leather chairs.

The kitchen is inside the large ship hull inspired copper wall that runs through the hotel from the entrance to the restaurant.

If you are here for a romantic dinner, try to get a table along the windows. The view of the Thames, the Blackfriars Bridge and St Pauls Cathedral is amazing.

Sea Containers serve a combination of American and British cuisine, divided into selections from the sea, field and land. Oysters, crab, octopus and scallops from the sea. Burrata cheese, chicken, short ribs, meat balls, rib eye and a great Cheese burger from the land.

The restaurant serves breakfast for the Mondrian Hotel guests, both a large breakfast table and an à la carte menu. It is not cheap, but maybe one of the best hotel breakfasts in London.
