Want to experience restaurant dining of the future, then this place will give you an appetizer for what’s to come.

 

Entering and finding your table maybe as usual, but when finding, reading and ordering from the menu, is when you jump into the future - with a smile on your face.

 

And later, as another coke bottle is placed on your table and your six year old is smiling from ear to ear like a Chesire cat, you know you have to keep up.

 

With the help of an interactive ordering system beemed down on the table in front of you, a picture of each dish is shown when you scroll through the menu, as if already on your plate.

 

While the food is being prepared you are left changing the virtual table cloth or playing a digital board game.

 

The cuisine is wonderful oriental fusion. If during the meal you feel like another portion of the delicious tempura, just tick one at your table or ask the six year old to do it for you. It is that easy.  Even the bill or ordering a taxi is done "on" the table.

 

The original Inamo in Soho has been around for some years now, but the dining experience is still a great deal of fun.

 

The concept has been expanded, first to a much larger place in St James which closed again when they moved to a three storey restaurant in Covent Garden. Another branch in Camden is also on the way, so you can now choose between a small intimate version or  a larger buzzing venue. All have great food !
