BLUEBIRD
CHELSEA
Even if it feels like Bluebird has been there forever, the former Conran owned converted landmark garage in Kings Road still has it. Taken over and refurbished a couple of times by owners D&D London, Bluebird is worth a visit when shopping in Kings Road. The restaurant building consist of the main restaurant and bar at the first floor and a great courtyard, bakery and food store and indoor café at the ground floor. The cafe is perfect for breakfast or lunch after struggling in Kings Road.
The huge open restaurant and bar at the first floor serves Modern European a la carte. When entering the restaurant, you first have to pass the long bar area. The bar is in the centre of the room and is accessable from both sides where you will find seating areas with lounge chairs. In the week-ends a DJ is responsible for the music.
Further in, the restaurant occupies the rest of this huge open space. Small lit trees and large construction beams divides the room, so it still feels intimate. The huge windows on one of the sides of the room has great views over Kings Road and the Bluebird courtyard
The food is delicious, with strong flavours and great taste. A nice selection of starters, both meat and grill menu and a selection of pasta and fish dishes, gives you a wide selection.
Bluebird is a great place for a full evening, especially in the week-ends.
