MAY FAIR HOTEL, LONDON
The Mayfair Hotel is located in the middle of Mayfair, close to Old Bond street and Piccadilly. It is large in size but still feels intimate and elegant.
Opened in 1927 the hotel has brought back to life the chic glamour of "cocktails and cupcakes" in the late afternoon.
The decor is elegant and bordering maximalism, but not going overboard. Even narrow and long gas fireplaces are found in the suites, such as the Amarillo Suite.
Some of the rooms allow parents to share their room with more than one child - unusual for most hotels in London.
When arriving in the May Fair you may be welcomed back by the friendly doorman with the memory of an elephant - just a sign of how the service at this hotel is taken seriously.
