BOUNDARY, SHOREDITCH
The Boundary Hotel in Shoreditch opened i 2008 and quickly became a favourite in London. The designer Terrance Conran has transformed this red brick Victorian former Printing factory to a small designer hotel with 3 restaurants and roof bar. Her are just 12 rooms and 6 suites, each reflecting individual designers chosen among Conran and partners favourites. These include Mies van der Rohe, Bauhaus, Scandinavian, Modern British and more. The rooms have very individual design and furnishings. (Press/click text for more)
The hotel reception maybe small and relaxed, but the hotel has much more to see. The Albion Cafe is a great bakery with the large bread oven placed in the centre of the cafe. Great bakery are made all day long. Try their amazing breakfast or tea.
An extension has allowed for a amazing rooftop. The view is 360 across London. Here there is a grill restaurant with an open kitchen. Part of the rooftop is covered by a sail canopy, open all year and even during winter. Take a look at the grapevines growing over your head. In the winter, the large log oven makes the roof top nice and cosy. Relaxed furnishing and a 100 year old olive tree, creates a fantastic place.
The Boundary restaurant in the basement has high ceilings and behind a glass screen an open kitchen. They serve French provincial food cooked with British ingredients.
