SCANDIC COPENHAGEN

Scandic Copenhagen has a similar look as its "neighbour", the Raddison Blu Royal Hotel. Both huge and strict blocks from the 60's. But inside, the hotel has had a major refurbishment (finished in May 2012). The reception area looks like a modern Danish design forest with white columns formed as big trees. Part of the café’s sitting area is shaped as an auditorium, where you can sit and have a drink at different levels (if you not prefer the regular chairs). The hotel has a great location next to the famous Søerne in Copenhagen, the five lakes shaped as an arc in the middle of the city, which used to be a part of the Copenhagen defence system. Scandic hotel is next to Sankt Jørgens Sø, the most south western of the lakes. Next door is also the famous Tycho Brahe Planetarium.
